St Peter's is the central chapelry in the parish of Letaba and is situated in Tzaneen itself. It is a busy centre with various activities taking place throughout the week as well as the Sunday services. We try to keep our Sunday worship services relaxed and relevant - whilst still retaining our Anglican heritage. We follow an evangelical theology - where leading people into a living relationship with Jesus Christ as Saviour and Lord, is top priority, with the emphasis on making disciples (in keeping with our Diocesan Vision). We encourage our members to use their God-given gifts in the service of Jesus and His Church and to accept the responsibility of every-member ministry. Each year around the later part of September, we run a stewardship campaign in the Sunday services - challenging our people to be good stewards of all that God has given us - and to recognise that God is a gracious giving God - whom we should emulate.
We run a pre-school known as J-Tots (Jesus Tots) which has about fifty children and is operated from the church hall on weekday mornings. On Sundays the same facility is used for Sunday School. Wherever possible, we try to involve our Youth in services and activities. Young people who are preparing for Confirmation, attend "Rooted in Jesus" - an evangelical course designed to lead people into a living relationship with Christ.
All members of the congregation are encouraged to join a house group where they can engage on a more personal level, in Bible studies and can also receive individual ministry from fellow members of the group.
